"Dodi was very quiet, calm, kind, considerate, loving and a total sweetie. What happened to him being torn apart by the media would have happened to any man connected with Princess Diana. I was glad to finally be able to speak up about who he was and why I was instantly concerned when they started dating. The overlap was not fun for sure BUT I do believe he was a man in love. I met the Princess in London at The Portuguese Embassy in Mayfair for dinner and I knew she had a quality about her that he would have found enchanting.
So sad their romance did not get to play out to it's full extent. So many questions left behind. I have my own theory behind what really happened but psychiatric drugs and those who prescribed them played a far bigger part than what was documented.
I hope I have shone a positive light on his character after so many let him down".

A chapter in my book Menopause WTH! documenting my life and struggle in menopause bought me to the attention of the media when it was published in 2022 and when I was approached to talk about my relationship with Dodi in 1997 I knew it was time.
Twenty five years have passed since the horrific car accident that left Princess Diana and Dodi both dead. It was a shock for the whole world and at the time I was not ready to speak up and tell my side of the story.
So many years have passed and it was just a part of my story so I I wanted to speak out and let people know the real Dodi Fayed. It was time to set the record straight about this kind, innocent man.
Not many went to bat for him. I am glad eventually I did.
